Anne Shelby  is the author of award-winning books for children and adults -- picture books, folktales, nonfiction and poetry.

A native of Southeastern Kentucky, Anne performs Appalachian folktales, Appalachian music, and a one-woman show based on the life and work of singer, midwife and union organizer Aunt Molly Jackson.

Anne teaches workshops in writing for children and in writing nonfiction, and teaches literature as a parttime instructor at Eastern Kentucky University.
